The blocks around Third Street and running back from the river hold some of the best-preserved housing in Kane County, and those roofs are nothing like a subdivision tear-off. Can a steep old roof like mine be walked, or does it need scaffolding?

Only the back slope looks bad. Do I have to replace everything?

If the sound slopes have real life left and we can match materials acceptably, replacing one slope is honest work. We will tell you plainly when that will look mismatched or when the whole roof is close enough that doing it once makes more sense.
Water is coming in around the chimney, not the shingles. Who fixes that?
We do. Chimney leaks in old Geneva houses are usually failed counterflashing, deteriorated mortar joints, or a crown that has cracked. Sealant over the top is a season of relief, not a repair. Proper counterflashing cut into the masonry is the fix, and we handle that as part of the roof rather than sending you to somebody else.
My porch roof is nearly flat and it keeps leaking.
Almost certainly because it has shingles on it. Shingles need pitch to shed water, and a low-slope porch roof needs a membrane instead.
