The buildings that make Schiller Park work are mostly flat-roofed boxes: freight forwarders, air cargo handlers, distribution warehouses, machine shops, and the hotels that fill up because a flight got cancelled. Those roofs are wide open acreage with rooftop HVAC units, exhaust curbs, drains, pipe penetrations and equipment somebody added in 2004 without telling the roofer. When a membrane peels back on a warehouse, it usually started with a loose termination bar or edge flashing nobody looked at in ten years. We check perimeters first after any wind event, and wind damage repair here often means resecuring an edge before the next front arrives rather than replacing a whole field.

Hail hits both halves of town at once. On houses we look for bruising and granule loss and document it the way an adjuster expects. On membrane roofs we look for fractures in the sheet and damage to units and vent caps, which is often the clearest evidence a storm actually did something.
